Art Connecting Communities has developed university programs that use contemporary art as a powerful tool for connection, creativity and engagement across campus life. Developed for students, academics and the wider university community, they invite people to explore who they are, how they think and connect with others. From Identity Lab and Creative Leadership Studio to Campus in Sketches, each program turns creative practice into an opportunity for discovery, collaboration and fresh thinking, capturing the unique stories, people and character of university life.

Identity Lab

Identity Lab is an immersive creative experience that invites students to explore identity through contemporary art. Through guided artistic processes, participants examine personal stories, cultural influences, memories and the many layers that shape who we are. The program creates a space for curiosity, self-expression and connection, encouraging students to see both themselves and one another from new perspectives.

Creative Leadership Studio

Creative Leadership Studio explores how artistic thinking can strengthen leadership, communication and collaboration among students. Through contemporary art, creative challenges and experimentation, participants develop confidence to approach ideas from different perspectives, embrace uncertainty and think outside the box. The program connects creativity with practical leadership skills like problem solving, crisis response and others that can be carried into university study, professional and community life.

Campus in Sketches

Campus in Sketches transforms the university campus into a living archive of people, places and everyday moments. Through drawing and visual storytelling, students and members of the university community capture the spaces, events and remarkable details that give their campus its character. The resulting collection of artworks, collages, installations becomes a shared visual memory documented in an evolving Campus Art Archive that preserves the atmosphere and stories of university life for future generations.
